Heibert+Ball Land Design is a landscape architecture firm in Franklin, Tennessee that has over 45 years of combined experience in residential gardens, civic and community parks, and collegiate and healthcare campuses in over 30 States and abroad. H+B works to balance the built and natural environment looking for meaningful solutions to challenging problems. Our designs have an appreciation for nature that combines aesthetics and sustainability to reflect the natural characteristics of the site while maximizing the client’s enjoyment of their outdoor space.
Skip Heibert has been practicing Landscape Architecture in the Middle Tennessee area since 1977. His Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture degree is from the University of Kentucky, and he received his license to practice in 1980. He is currently licensed in 7 states throughout the southeast United States with a broad based experience that ranges from small, intimate residential courtyards to large scale master planned communities. He designs projects for the specific need of the client and with focus on sustainability.
Connor Ball, partner at Heibert+Ball, Land Design since 2014, is one of the lead designers at the firm. A graduate of Mississippi State University and a registered Landscape Architect in 9 states, Connor has had an integral role in a wide range of projects for residential, healthcare, and commercial landscapes throughout the Southeast. “All landscape architects enter the field for different reasons and have their own experiences and specialties. I entered the field as a golf course architect in 2003. That experience has given me an understanding of the big picture and also how the smallest details can change the overall user experience of the space. Over the years my focus has switched to the commercial and residential market where I can help the client extract their ideas onto paper and oversee the installation of their project so that they obtain exactly what they have envisioned for their space. I also take pride in knowing about the plants in our climate zone and how each one, in their own way, can better the design and the environment through color, texture, and movement.”
Skip Heibert and Connor Ball have completed many successful projects together as Heibert and Associates and in January of 2014, the firm was proud to be renamed Heibert+Ball, Land Design.
